This is due to contaminants such as brake dust, road salt, and stubborn dirt—that accumulate on your vehicle over time and don't come off in a basic wash.
To address this, we use a clay bar technique to mechanically decontaminate the paint. The clay bar, a resin mixture with a sticky texture, is paired with a clay lubricant and gently glided over the paint surface. This process removes embedded contaminants, leaving the paint smooth and ready for further correction or a protective sealant. However, using a clay bar requires precision, as improper handling can scratch the paint.

Over time, brake dust can become embedded in your vehicle’s clear coat. While claying the vehicle can remove some of these particles, it typically won’t eliminate all of them. If left untreated, the ferrous nature of these particles can cause them to corrode through the clear coat. Fortunately, there is a chemical solution that can be applied to the paint which reacts with the iron particles, breaks them down, and dissolves them so they can be rinsed from the vehicle.
Using iron remover, however, requires expertise, as it must be left on long enough to remove contaminants but not so long as to damage the paint. Factors such as weather, paint color, and the level of contamination all play a role in determining the proper application time. IPA, or isopropyl alcohol, is a solution typically composed of 50% alcohol and 50% other chemicals designed to prepare the clear coat for protective applications. A ceramic spray wax is a ceramic oxide based synthetic wax in spray form. This is a great form of protection and has many benefits for your vehicle.
First, it is extremely hydrophobic, meaning water will bead and sheet off your vehicle. This property makes your vehicle easier to maintain as well as reduces the possibility of water spotting on your paintwork.
Secondly, and importantly for some, a ceramic spray wax is going to boost the gloss and slickness of your vehicle. Typically, ceramic spray waxes will last anywhere from 6 to 12 months depending on product, application, maintenance of the vehicle, weather conditions, and other factors.
